There are some cases that actually bring tears to not only the patient’s eyes, but also mine. This is one of those cases. When we first met she was sure there was nothing that could be done. With the way her bite was originally built by a clinician that said he was “a perfectionist”, she wasn’t able to chew food for 3 years! She told me: “if you can help me chew again then I will have something to smile about so give me Hollywood White!” We did just that and the day she bit down properly for the first time in 3 years, everyone in the room was crying. This is how we change lives and why I do what I do. Results don’t come easy and clinicians must always know their limitations so a patient does not have to suffer as this wonderful woman did before we met.
